12.7 X 108 ARMOR PIERCING INCENDIARY T
The Armor Piercing Incendiary Tracer (APIT) cartridge is designed to penetrate light armor, cause incendiary effects upon impact, and also provide a visible tracer for the shooter. This round is primarily used to track the bullet’s trajectory while simultaneously causing both penetration and incendiary damage. The APIT round is effective for long-range anti-vehicle and anti-personnel engagements. It is typically used in machine guns like the NSV and DShK.
